Electrical Subcode Official – Borough of Fanwood
Under direction of the Construction Official, reviews plans and performs electrical inspection work to enforce the State Uniform Construction Code, the electrical subcode, and regulations adopted pursuant to the Uniform Construction Code Act; does other related work. Must be able to inspect and evaluate electrical work on construction projects. Must be able to inspect and or/ supervise inspection of electrical installations in existing buildings for conformance with the minimum safety standards incorporated in the regulations of the Uniform Code and relevant laws within the jurisdiction. Prepare reports and maintain records and files. Appointee will be required to possess a valid driver’s license in the State of New Jersey; must have a valid license as an Electrical Inspector of the appropriate level, and as an Electrical Subcode Official from NJDCA; HHS license required. BUILDING SUBCODE OFFICIAL / INSPECTOR – Summit City, NJ

Full-Time Building Subcode Official HHS / Inspector. Minimum 5 years’ experience. The successful candidate will perform plan review and sign tech sections along with a variety of duties for the city which will include inspecting new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and structures to enforce compliance with applicable local and building codes. Applicants must possess a valid license as a Building Subcode (RCS), (ICS) and (HHS), Inspector, and Construction Official licenses issued by the NJDCA. Must also possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License. The successful candidate will have good communication skills in working with the public.
